The Progressive Institute is a dual-licensed psychiatric and addiction outpatient treatment facility located at 2 Trap Falls Road in Shelton, CT . We offer a variety of treatment options to accommodate patients with primary mental health and/or primary substance abuse diagnoses. We have a team of licensed professionals, experienced in evidence-based therapeutic techniques, who focus on the creation of an individualized treatment pathway for each patient. Our highest level of treatment is intensive outpatient (IOP). Our daytime IOP runs 9am-noon, Tues/Wed/Thurs and our evening IOP runs 5:30pm-8:30pm, Tues/Wed/Thurs. We offer multiple weekly outpatient groups (OP) including substance abuse relapse prevention, mental health wellness, chronic pain, and faith-based relapse prevention. Individual and Family Therapy is offered and scheduled individually with each patient. Psychiatric Care and Medication Assisted Therapy (MAT), which includes Vivitrol® and Suboxone®, is scheduled individually with each patient.

Silver Spring residential treatment was uniquely created to provide integrative, holistic mental health treatment to adults in a home like environment. We provide the highest quality assessment, diagnosis, stabilization and treatment for adults with psychiatric issues. Psychiatric issues in adults can sometimes be complex and can result from a mix of medical, neurological and even chronic pain. Therefore, our medical team includes a psychiatrist, neurologist, pain management doctor and internist who all work together. We partner with a university to provide advanced cognitive testing, imaging scans and lab tests. We are uniquely licensed to provide cutting edge treatments such as ketamine, TMS and ECT and we offer crisis stabilization. Treatment is provided with kindness, empathy, dignity, and respect. Each treatment plan is designed by our interdisciplinary team and treatment plans evolve during the course of treatment. We reassess and re-evaluate each patient frequently, in order to help them continue to thrive mentally, emotionally and physically.

Intensive outpatient & partial hospitalization programming provide multiple hours of clinical services, including individual, group, and family therapy, medical and psychiatric assessment, stabilization and care, medication management, and nutrition/dietary support services, to establish a solid foundation of good habits, behavior modification, self-regulation, self-management, and coping skills. Lift's adolescent & adult IOP & PHP's were crafted through decades of research and practice by nationally-recognized certified eating disorder specialist, seasoned family therapist, adolescent specialist & credentialed school-based mental health expert, Mary Dobson, LMFT, CEDS, in partnership with medical directors Dr. Alyssa Bennett & Dr. Deborah Lipshitz. We are differentiated by providing expert-level day treatment services, delivered by a curated clinical team of seasoned, licensed adolescent and adult specialists, in a home-like environment in Westport, CT.

Treatment is tailored to individualized needs and the range of services includes individual and group therapy; alcohol and drug education; relapse prevention; family therapy and ongoing after-care.

Evolve Vanalden is a Comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Residential Treatment Center: the first of its kind in California and one of only a handful in the country. DBT is an evidence-based treatment that has been proven to help reduce emotion dysregulation, self-harming behavior, and/or suicidal ideation. We treat teens diagnosed with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, borderline personality disorder, addiction, or other issues. Evolve's robust clinical program includes individual and family therapy (at least five scheduled 1-hour sessions a week), DBT Skills Training Groups (4 times a week), and skills coaching (24/7). Teens learn and practice the four core skills of DBT: Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance, and Interpersonal Effectiveness. At Evolve, we don't just learn DBT, we live it. With the help of our specialized staff, teens practice and apply their DBT skills at all opportunities throughout the day.
