Millcreek of Pontotoc operates multiple group home locations across northern Mississippi for children and adolescents ages 12-20 who are struggling with mental health concerns or emotional disturbances. These group homes are separated by gender and provide a structured and supportive setting for young people who need professional supervision or a safe place to live due to challenging life circumstances. At our group homes, our main goal is to encourage independent living skills and support our students in their day-to-day lives. Each group home offers 24/7 supervision, trained staff members, therapies, and individualized treatment plans. Compared with an outpatient or therapeutic day program, the intensive programming found in our group homes offers a more immersive and comprehensive approach to meet the needs of our students. Boys and girls who have mental health disorders can find support and encouragement in a comfortable living space as they stabilize and prepare for life beyond treatment. Our girls group homes are located in Kosciusko, Clarksville, and Blue Springs, Mississippi, and our boys group homes are located in Hollandale, Starkville, and Myrtle, Mississippi. Every student in our group homes receives a personalized treatment plan that clearly outlines what they can expect during their stay. Our team of dedicated professionals is equipped to provide treatment for various mental health disorders, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, intermittent explosive disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). During their stay, most students participate in daily recreation activities, weekly individual therapy, twice-weekly group therapy sessions, and monthly family therapy. Children and adolescents in our group homes may attend public school if appropriate. However, most students in our group homes attend our Millcreek of Pontotoc therapeutic day school.
