Adult Inpatient Treatment
Located in Wichita Falls, Texas, Red River Hospital is a leading provider of inpatient treatment for adults age 18 and older. Our treatment center offers specialized tracks for adults, seniors, and active-duty military members and veterans. We provide expert care for adults who are suffering from mental health and addiction concerns, including depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and addictions to alcohol, benzos, and certain opioids. Adults who receive care in our inpatient program are typically experiencing severe symptoms that are interfering with their daily lives. By receiving personalized care in a safe environment, adults in our program can take steps toward lasting healing. The typical length of stay in our adult inpatient program is about 14 days, though this can vary based on individual needs. During your time in our program, your care plan may include services like medication management, basic medical care, and a wide range of therapies. These therapies may include approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy; motivational interviewing; individual, group, and family therapies; and experiential activities.
Adolescent Inpatient Treatment
Our Wichita Falls treatment center provides clinically excellent care for adolescents ages 12-17 who are struggling with acute behavioral health concerns. Concerns we may address in our adolescent program include aggressive behavior, depression, bipolar disorder, adjustment disorders, and co-occurring attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The average length of stay in our adolescent inpatient program is about 14 days. However, each young person progresses through treatment at their own pace and has an individualized care experience. To support your child’s unique needs, we may offer program elements like medication management services, individual therapy, group therapy, and experiential activities. We aim to deliver a well-rounded treatment experience that draws on evidence-based and other effective therapies and provides holistic support when needed. Depending on your child’s needs and goals, they can participate in interventions like dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, role-playing, and art activities. Additionally, in our program, each young person typically receives at least one family therapy session during their stay.

Our staff includes licensed clinical social workers, licensed professional counselors, psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, mental health technicians, recreational therapists, and other qualified professionals. When a person seeks care at our treatment center, we strive to provide a streamlined and accessible admissions process so that they can get the care they may need as easily as possible. Once someone begins treatment at our hospital, we work closely with them to provide personalized support at each step. This includes creating a thorough discharge plan that involves the input of a multidisciplinary team. We want to make sure that each patient leaves our center with the resources and referrals they need to continue building on their progress during inpatient care.
