At Huntington Creek Recovery Center, we provide personalized treatment for adolescents ages 13-18 and adults age 18 and older who are struggling with substance use disorders and co-occurring concerns. As part of your individualized care in our residential program, you may participate in our on-site medical detox services. Detox, which can be a necessary first step for those who are battling addictions, can help you safely rid your body of harmful substances. Each client’s length of participation in detox programming is determined on an individual basis. Detox program duration can depend on the details of a person’s substance use, such as the amount of drugs or alcohol they have been consuming. At New Insights II, we use a multimodal approach to provide individualized counseling services and treatment planning. Our clinical team has 125 years of combined clinical experience that facilitates this dynamic multi-disciplinary approach. Some of our staff specialties include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Applied Behavioral Analysis, Biofeedback, psychoeducation, yoga therapy, and art therapy among others. We also offer relapse prevention education to help clients achieve balance in their lives, and to maintain the skills learned in treatment. At Huntington Creek Recovery Center, we offer residential programming for adults age 18 and older who are living with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. Treatment in our adult residential program typically lasts 28 days, although each client’s actual length of stay depends on their needs. During this time, clients receive individualized care that can help them overcome addictions and improve their overall quality of life. Programming is delivered by an expert team that is comprised of certified alcohol and drug counselors, behavioral health associates, certified recovery specialists, master’s-level clinicians, and other behavioral health professionals. We strive to treat each client with the dignity and respect they deserve while empowering them to pursue a healthier, happier life. White Deer Run is a network of treatment centers located throughout the state of Pennsylvania. In 16 different locations, White Deer Run helps treat individuals who are struggling with substance abuse, as well as those who are afflicted with co-occurring disorders. We specifically treat individuals who are addicted to substances like alcohol, heroin, cocaine, meth, stimulants, inhalants, opioids, prescription drugs, and synthetic marijuana, as well as individuals who suffer from co-occurring conditions including bipolar disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, depression, and anxiety. At White Deer Run, it is our primary objective to help guide patients towards recovery and a better way of life, and we do that through the provision of a number of programs, such as residential rehabilitation, a traditional outpatient program (OP), an intensive outpatient program (IOP), gender-specific halfway houses, medically monitored detoxification, and a partial hospitalization program (PHP).

TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation), is a safe, non-invasive, effective treatment option for individuals suffering from Major Depressive Disorder who have not seen satisfactory results from antidepressants. These pulses will feel like tapping on the scalp. When delivered at the correct frequency and intensity, the pulses create localized electromagnetic fields which have the ability to stimulate nerve cells in the brain. Although treatment plans are individualized, the typical course of treatment is 5 times a week, for 6 weeks. Each individual treatment session takes approximately 20 minutes to complete, and patients can resume daily activities immediately after treatment. TMS does not use anesthesia, and patients are fully alert for the duration of the treatment session. TMS can be used as a stand-alone therapy, or in conjunction with medication and psychotherapies. TMS does not have the same side effects as traditional medications, and is generally well tolerated. The most common side effects are mild headache and sensitivity at the site of stimulation.

Using Neurofeedback, people of all ages can effortlessly learn to re-condition their brains to correct unbalanced brain wave activity, resulting in improved day-to-day functioning. You can think of Neurofeedback as "brain training." Like a muscle, your brain gets stronger the more you train it. When the brain works better, you feel better and do better. Neurofeedback has an 85 - 90% success rate in reducing symptoms of ADHD, and has been deemed a "Level 1, Best Support Treatment" by the American Academy of Pediatrics for ADHD, which is the highest level of support. Research using neurofeedback with Autism shows promising results, such as some students improving sufficiently to be mainstreamed into regular classes. In cases such as behavioral problems in children (e.g., temper tantrums, aggression), Neurofeedback can help children learn to control impulsive behaviors. For depression, a gradual lifting of mood and energy can occur. In cases of anxiety, people can experience decreased frequency and intensity of anxiety. For migraines, there's a reduction of intensity, duration and frequency, even for people resistant to medication. With Neurofeedback, unlike medications, you are in control of your own treatment, there are no side effects, and training is time-limited.
