Milestones Ranch Malibu is a premier, privately owned, serious dual diagnosis treatment center that has been in business over 20 years providing evidenced based clinical programming. Milestones Ranch is nestled in the heart of the Santa Monica Mountains in Malibu, California. We are experts at helping individuals get to their underlying issues and stabilizing those suffering from both addiction and co-occurring mental illness. We treat a maximum of 12 clients at one time. We utilize a conservative medication policy and believe that less is more in regard to medication. We offer a holistic approach to treatment focusing on the physical, emotional and spiritual. Our belief is that each person is made up of independent parts, and when one part is not working it can negatively impact ones overall health so it's imperative that we look at all aspects of the whole person. Our treatment plan might include medications to treat our clients, but we will first help patients to modify their lifestyle as a means to prevent negative symptoms from occurring.
While at Milestones Ranch, each client receives a minimum of five individual sessions per week. All primary therapists are licensed master’s level clinicians. The treatment team selection is assessment driven and services can be added and changed as the client progresses in the program. We also provide 18 diverse educational, process and experiential groups throughout the week. In addition, our psychiatrist completes a full psychiatric evaluation for all clients and follows up minimally one time weekly for the duration of their treatment and is on call 24/7 for psychiatric support. Our Internal Medicine Physician completes a comprehensive H&P when the client arrives and follows up with the clients on a weekly basis as well as offering 24/7 medical support. Each staff member at Milestones is chosen for their ability to rapidly join with patients and make them feel comfortable upon admission to the program. In addition to the comprehensive clinical care, physical activity is also a very important part of our program and clients have daily access to our state of the art gym, pool and pickleball courts as well as opportunities for hiking, yoga, qi gong and breathwork classes.
What makes us different than most other treatment centers is our dedication to clients and their families for a life time. We understand that healing takes time and expert medical and clinical care is very expensive. We have built in free alumni services that allow our alumni to stay active in their recovery as well as a free one-week tune up for a client that may struggle after leaving treatment.
