Transcend is an organization that asks you - what do you want to do with your life? Transcend Recovery Community has been helping clients build new lives in the Los Angeles recovery community since opening its first sober living in 2008. With six homes located throughout the Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Holmby Hills, Mar Vista, and Brentwood areas, Transcend allows men and women to join a united support group and recovery network like no other sober living can. In addition to our Los Angeles locations, we also have men's sober living homes in Manhattan, New York and in Houston, Texas. When a client enters any one of our sober living homes, they are joining our entire community. At Transcend you are not alone. Transcend provides a community where we can all feel comfortable being perfectly imperfect beings. We work with clients in various stages of recovery to help them establish, and work towards, their life goals and aspirations. Our recovery programs focus on gradual and consistent client growth. Transcend's dedicated staff help clients attain the vocational training, professional and educational development, and life skills necessary for an independent life. We help our clients by exposing them to the abundant 12 step community, utilizing other evidence-based recovery methods, and if indicated, collaborating closely with their clinical team. Through our three-pronged approach of Accountability, Community, and Spirituality, we help our members create a new and healthy lifestyle that fits their individual needs. A resident of Transcend is a member of our unique and expansive support network. This includes all of the existing clients in our six Los Angeles sober living homes, our positive and engaged alumni, and the staff members who embrace each client and help them feel accepted and safe. We also work with leading physicians and clinicians in the field of mental health to provide a collaborative, "team" approach to helping our members live new lives. Transcend's Personalized and Unique Approach
Transcend is dedicated to giving our residents the best care possible, and that requires going above and beyond what traditional sober living provide. We offer a 24hr-awake staff comprised of three full shifts, including an active graveyard shift to continually motivate and monitor our clients in their recovery. Most sober livings only provide a live-in manager, however, we have found it to be of extreme importance to always have multiple staff members available to our clients. To maintain a truly holistic approach to recovery, Transcend facilitates four in-house activities each week. Topics range from acupuncture, meditation, mindfulness techniques, yoga, goal setting, to book study and spiritual expression. In addition to the house activities that Transcend provides, clients are given membership to an exclusive gym that offers a rigorous boxing program and a full spectrum of workout options. We have found these services to be extremely beneficial in the recovery process, which is why we offer them at no additional cost to the client.
