Accredited Academics
Each school-age patient who participates in our adolescent residential programs can continue to get a traditional education through our school, The Village Academy, located on the Village Behavioral Health campus. The Village Academy is a private school that has been approved by the Tennessee State Department of Education and accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). Our school staff includes qualified administrators and full-time credentialed teachers who are state-licensed in English, mathematics, social studies, and natural sciences. The Village Academy provides remedial and special education services for students who have emotional concerns and learning differences. Our teachers work closely with each student’s previous school, and each student completes an evaluation that can give us insight into their educational needs. This information can help us design an individual academic plan for each patient. Because The Village Academy is fully accredited, students can complete all high school graduation requirements at our school if needed. Therapeutic Support
Our goal is to help adolescents develop the skills they need to transition back to their daily lives and succeed academically. Before an adolescent is admitted to our education program, our team conducts a thorough assessment to gather information about their physical health, symptoms, and therapeutic goals. Using these details, we can design the patient’s treatment plan. We offer a combination of experiential and evidence-based therapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), 12-Step programming, and recreational therapy. A patient’s treatment plan can include basic medical care and medication management services as well as individual, family, and group therapies. Students enrolled in our academy can also participate in vocational education, physical education, and experiential learning as part of their therapeutic interventions. Students in these courses can receive school credit for this participation. Admissions
At our residential treatment center, we offer assessments 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our goal is to connect people with the behavioral healthcare they need as quickly as possible. When you contact an admissions team member, they’ll begin the admissions process by providing an assessment. Based on the information we gather from this assessment, we can determine whether our facility can provide care that best meets your loved one’s needs. If your loved one is admitted to our residential program, we can go over any preliminary questions and schedule their start date. Upon arrival, you and your loved one can meet our treatment team and take a tour of our campus. At this time, we can also answer any further questions you may have. Our staff works with each young person to gain insight into their background, symptoms, and goals. Once we understand your loved one’s educational needs, we will tailor their school schedule, therapies, and services to help them achieve optimal outcomes.
