White Deer Run is a network of treatment centers located throughout the state of Pennsylvania. In 16 different locations, White Deer Run helps treat individuals who are struggling with substance abuse, as well as those who are afflicted with co-occurring disorders. We specifically treat individuals who are addicted to substances like alcohol, heroin, cocaine, meth, stimulants, inhalants, opioids, prescription drugs, and synthetic marijuana, as well as individuals who suffer from co-occurring conditions including bipolar disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, depression, and anxiety. At White Deer Run, it is our primary objective to help guide patients towards recovery and a better way of life, and we do that through the provision of a number of programs, such as residential rehabilitation, a traditional outpatient program (OP), an intensive outpatient program (IOP), gender-specific halfway houses, medically monitored detoxification, and a partial hospitalization program (PHP).

Center for Families (CFF), a valued member of the Newport Healthcare family of programs, provides guidance, awareness, and education for families in local communities around mental health and substance use struggles. We lead teens ages 13-17 and families to sustainable healing through a continuum of care that includes our Therapeutic Day Program/PHP, Intensive Outpatient Program, and outpatient services. In CFF’s treatment programs, teens begin to build strong relationships, learn and practice healthy coping skills, grow their personal self-worth, and reestablish trust and communication with themselves and their loved ones. Our approach blends behavioral and medical treatment (integrated care) and provides both clinical and experiential modalities (integrative care). Each of our treatment programs encompasses evidence-based and solutions-focused components. Through support groups, clinical therapy, and psychoeducation, we involve the entire family in the healing journey - creating connection, cultivating compassion, igniting hope, and generating lasting change.

ETHOS was founded by three long-time providers of treatment, dedicated to reestablishing individualized care for people and their families who struggle with substance use disorder and/or mental health issues. Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is a form of opioid addiction treatment that combines the use of FDA-approved prescription medications with counseling services. It can be challenging to stop using opioids due to distressing physical withdrawal symptoms that can interfere with a person’s commitment to recovery. For this reason, getting professional help can be a crucial first step in healing. Organizations such as the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) support MAT as a first-line approach for treating opioid addiction. Harrisburg Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) prescribes multiple medications to reduce or eliminate opioid withdrawal symptoms, which can allow people to focus on recovery. In addition, our clinic’s counseling component aims to help people develop skills that can prevent relapse. The combination of medication and therapy can be effective in treating opioid use disorder because it addresses the physical and emotional aspects of addiction together.

At Providence Treatment, we offer a full array of treatment modalities with a mind, body and spiritual focus. Adults age 18 and older who are suffering from severe symptoms of mental health concerns and co-occurring substance use disorders can benefit from inpatient treatment at Belmont Behavioral Health System. Through round-the-clock care, we help our patients stabilize and prepare for the next phase of the healing process. Our inpatient program lasts for an average of five to seven days, although each patient’s actual length of stay is based on their specific needs. During treatment, patients receive 24/7 monitoring in a safe and secure environment that promotes long-term healing, and they take part in therapy sessions to help them learn valuable coping skills that can improve their quality of life. Our team collaborates with each patient to better understand the challenges they are facing and tailor their care in a manner that can yield optimal results and set them up for sustained success. Renew Family Services provides Intensive Outpatient programs for Mental Health and Addiction(s) treatment. Mental Health and Addiction affects the family dynamic, we have tailored our programs to not only address the individual but also the families. It is essential for everyone to be provided with psychoeducation, support, effective coping skills and ways to improve interpersonal relationships in order to renew their lives and began the healing process. Our goal is to not only to help the individual, we want to include any loved ones. We want anyone affected to have the appropriate support moving forward. Renew Family Services wants to ensure our clients and families with better outcomes and to increase their ability to maintain long term recovery.

Addiction is a multilayered and complex condition. It is a physical, psychological, social, and very personal behavioral disorder. There are many treatment options offered by programs with very different treatment philosophies. All of this can make recovery seem daunting. At a time when the chance of drug overdose for people under 50 is higher that the chance of dying from COVID, we believe that all evidence-based treatment options should be offered. At our center we offer cutting edge addiction treatments led by our founder, Joseph Volpicelli MD, PhD. During his time as a Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, he developed naltrexone to treat people with alcohol addiction. He also developed and wrote a book on how to best integrate psychosocial treatment with medications.
