One of America's longest-running independent outpatient treatment centers, we are a New York State OASAS licensed, medically supervised recovery program located in Midtown Manhattan. We offer confidential, personalized, comprehensive and innovative care to the families and individuals affected by substance use and co-occurring mental health issues. Our clinical services focus on adults, including working professionals. The science-based clinical foundation for our Intensive Outpatient Services is rooted in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Relational Family Therapy. Our model is dedicated to long-term recovery and wellness for the whole family. Our licensed, multidisciplinary clinical team are trained in a wide variety of modalities, including DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-based techniques, and Psychodrama. We are a a self-pay clinic providing intensive outpatient day treatment and a full range of on-site psychiatric, medical, substance abuse, psycho-social, and rehabilitation services. Our services are available to people 18 years and older. As an integral part of the Columbia Psychiatry network of care, our clients have access to a full spectrum of care, with seamless delivery of services from inpatient to outpatient and from psychiatric to substance abuse and medical services. In an atmosphere of caring support, clients receive personalized, comprehensive outpatient treatment, life skills training, and psychiatric rehabilitation services, with an emphasis on getting back to work, school, and independent living. Treatment is largely provided in a group format, with some clients receiving additional support from a staff Recovery Coach or individual therapist. All clients participating in treatment in the Lieber Clinic continue to be under the care of a primary psychiatrist. The $50 Application fee entitles you to up to three in-person consultations with a therapist who will then make a treatment recommendation and either facilitate a referral to an experienced training candidate or recommend that you continue in treatment with the consulting therapist.
