Avalon Center is Closed as a treatment center. Diane Hutcheson RN, ARNP, PMHCS-BS is a Board Certified Advanced Practice Nurse with a specialty of working with people who have problems with addiction, ADHD, Depression, and any other mental health issues.

Mental Health problems and addiction occur together. It needs to be treated at the same time. All symptoms such as anxiety, anger, irritability, fear, insomnia, depression, suicidal thoughts, panic attacks, anxiety attacks, shortness of breath, sweating, cravings, using cocaine, diarrhea, shakes, muscle spasms, stomach upset, ulcers, high blood pressure, not sleeping, all to deal with the stress of coping with that high-powered job. All of these are signs that things are not OK. Cravings are automatic and won't go away if a person stops Using or drinking. The person can't stop because the brain is out of balance. Once this happens it continues to seek something to sooth it to balance it... teetering on the edge it becomes worse until either they drink or use or find someone to help balance the brain. Research is showing now how to treat these issues by balancing the brain, with treatment from qualified medical professionals. Research also shows that balancing can occur from a focus on learning specific skills to cope with stressors of your fast-paced life. Certain medications can help but there must also be treatments such as individual or group therapy at the same time. You need support to make the changes that are necessary. Men and ADHD this is a support group to learn about your ADHD. Meets in person on the third Tuesday of the Month in order to connect, and foster a community of like minded people.
