Located on 12 peaceful acres in Marin County, California, Serenity Knolls is a residential treatment center where adult men and women ages 18 and above can receive comprehensive care for substance abuse, chemical dependency, and certain co-occurring conditions. Treatment at Serenity Knolls is a personalized holistic experience that features a variety of treatment modalities and therapeutic techniques, each of which has been selected and customized in order to best meet each individual's unique strengths, needs, and goals. In addition to the principles of the 12-Step recovery model, Serenity Knolls also incorporates cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other client-focused modalities into treatment. Services that may be included in an individual's personalized plan include individual therapy, group therapy, family/couples therapy, and continuing care. At Evolve, we provide the highest caliber of evidence-based residential treatment for adolescents 12-17 struggling with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, self-harming or high-risk behaviors, suicidality, aggression, defiance, trauma, and other emotional/behavioral issues. Our primary modes of treatment are Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. At Evolve Lafayette, we believe treatment works best when it is individually tailored. Our clinical staff conducts a comprehensive evaluation of each teen pre- and post-admission in order to develop a customized, highly detailed treatment plan that is constantly updated based on treatment progress. Our robust clinical program includes individual and family therapy at least 5 times a week; weekly psychiatry; daily groups (on DBT Skills Training, Anger Management, Relapse Prevention, Life Skills, Healthy Relationships, and Seeking Safety); and daily academic support. Families from out-of-state participate in family therapy remotely. Teens also participate in experiential therapies (e.g. equine, music, art, fitness, yoga, and more) as well as SMART Recovery programs for those struggling with dual diagnoses.

One of the biggest barriers to getting addiction treatment is knowing that withdrawing from drugs or alcohol can be uncomfortable, and that might make a person feel afraid to get professional help. At Duffy’s Napa Valley Rehab, we understand these concerns, which is why we designed our medically supervised detoxification services to help people safely complete withdrawal with as little discomfort as possible. Patients who participate in the detoxification program at our facility in Calistoga, California, receive round-the-clock support from a highly experienced medical team that specializes in addiction medicine. These experts tailor each person’s detox plan to their specific needs and work closely with them throughout the withdrawal process to ensure that they achieve a successful outcome. As a person completes detox at Duffy’s, they can then begin to transition to residential addiction treatment with us, during which they can delve more deeply into the recovery process.

Located in Sebastopol, California, Azure Acres Recovery Center offers comprehensive outpatient services that include a partial hospitalization program (PHP). Our PHP is available for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with substance use disorders. This level of care may be especially beneficial for people who do not require 24/7 monitoring but need structured treatment to achieve their wellness goals. Clients may enter the program directly or by stepping down from a higher level of care. The PHP meets Monday-Saturday for six hours each day. While the typical length of participation is 14-30 days, the actual program duration is determined on an individual basis. Interventions and techniques utilized at this level of care may include dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, recovery support groups, psychoeducational groups, art therapy, yoga, and recreational activities. In the PHP, clients have the opportunity to establish a solid support network and learn practical coping skills that they can implement in everyday situations.

Muir Wood Adolescent and Family Services treats teen boys and girls ages 12 – 17 experiencing substance use and mental health conditions. Our campuses are beautiful, home-like settings in Sonoma County, Clovis and Riverside, California, where clients enjoy camaraderie, benefit from intensive integrated therapy, and enjoy recreation and experiential therapy activities. Boys and girls are treated and housed separately to eliminate drama and distraction. This program provides comprehensive, evidence-based care for teens experiencing a range of behavioral healthcare issues, including substance use disorders, anxiety, OCD, depression, mood disorders, and suicidality. Programming is trauma-informed to create a safe and supportive atmosphere where teens can feel open and comfortable engaging in treatment and focusing on their care without distractions. Muir Wood is also in-network with Anthem Blue Cross, Aetna, Cigna, Halcyon, Kaiser Permanente, Magellan, MHN, and Optum.
