Our staff is dedicated to the individualized treatment of addictions and mental health. We understand the importance of treatment and positive support. After your visit with us, you will leave your appointment with a better understanding of how MidValley Healthcare can help you to reach a healthier, happier you. We strive to ensure that all of your questions or concerns are answered. It is our goal to deliver high-quality treatment to adults 18 years of age or older. We offer Intensive Outpatient programs (IOP) and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy. IOP is a bridge between traditional outpatient treatment and acute psychiatric hospitalization. You receive at least 9 hours a week of treatment in an outpatient setting. Our program includes Mental Health, Dual Diagnosis, or Chemical dependency. NeuroStar TMS Therapy can help achieve remission for patients living with depression. For many patients, depression symptoms significantly improved or went away after 4 to 6 weeks of treatment with NeuroStar TMS Therapy. 1 in 2 patients experienced significant improvement, 1 in 3 patients were symptom free.

How Does It Work?

TMS: Clients receive an evaluation by a licensed medical provider and a TMS consultation with one of our TMS certified Psychiatrists. Once Prior Authorization with your insurance has been approved, we begin TMS therapy treatment. Treatment is five (5) day per week for sic (6) weeks followed by a stepdown cycle of six (6) treatments spread out over three weeks. IOP: Clients receive an evaluation by a clinical social worker (LCSW). A treatment plan is written with the LCSW, and goals for treatment are identified. The client will also have a medical evaluation with a licensed medical provider. Once Prior Authorization is approved through your insurance, IOP will start. A typical stay in IOP is 4-6 weeks for mental health or 12 - 36 weeks for chemical dependency. As treatment goals are met, you and your Utilization Reviewer (UR) will make a plan for stepping down treatment to either fewer groups, or returning to traditional outpatient care (such as seeing a counselor and psychiatrist every week or so). We work very closely with any established therapist and psychiatrist that you may have while in IOP.

What Happens In IOP?

Groups run for a minimum of three (3) hours per day three (3) days per week. In addition to attending at least nine (9) hours of group a week, you will also meet with your UR and medication manager, weekly to biweekly. While in IOP, you will also be asked to have a support person attend the multi-family/support group with you. Group therapy sessions are led by Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Clinical Professionals, or Certified Alcohol Drug Counselors. Our psychoeducational groups focus on specific topics such as: Interpersonal Therapy, coping with anxiety symptoms, managing symptoms, stages of addiction recovery, and changing negative thoughts. Groups are led in a safe environment. Group members interact with one another, hold each other accountable for treatment goals, while providing a supportive environment for one another.

Midvalley Healthcare's Groups

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

This group puts emphasis on the importance of identifying our thoughts, moods, behaviors, and physical reactions to small situations and major events in your life. We focus on identifying strategies to change the thinking patterns that keep you locked into dysfunctional moods, behaviors, and relationship patterns. You will be encouraged to identify problems you are having in your daily experiences and work within the group to generate more adaptive responses. This will be done through goal setting, modeling, role playing, behavioral experiments and cognitive restructuring. Each member will work on practicing new adaptive response and report back on their experience.

More about this group

Interpersonal Therapy

In this group the primary focus is on how symptoms of depression affect interpersonal relationships, namely work, family, or social relationships, and how the member is functioning in a specified relationship. Because depression can be a debilitating illness which zaps energy and motivation, maintaining the level of functioning prior to the depressive symptoms is problematic. In this group we focus on "here and now", rather than issues from the past, paying particular attention to emotions and what those feelings tell us. We also make use of role-playing to identify problem areas in relationships and practice how to correct them.

Anxiety Management

This group combines techniques from REBT (Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) to help you stop anxious thoughts before they get out of control and to create a personal plan for overcoming excessive fears and worries.
