AKUA Mind & Body takes a unique and innovative approach to treating drug and alcohol addiction. We offer Holistic treatment, Our facility is known for safe and comfortable Detox, people fly in from all over the country to get treatment by the beach. We offer three levels of care, Detox, Residential Treatment and Intensive Outpatient. At AKUA, we use the term "holistic" to refer to treatment that addresses the three most important elements of our being - MIND, BODY, and SPIRIT. We have seen great success with this innovative method of treatment which accelerates the process of breaking destructive patterns created by drugs and alcohol. To accomplish this, we combine the science of substance use disorder services, nutrition, movement, and psychotherapy with Eastern techniques like Acupuncture, Massage, Yoga, and Meditation. Pillars Recovery can function as a step-down program for individuals who already completed more intensive treatment programs, whether at our Residential program or transitioning from another program. For example, individuals who completed a residential treatment or partial hospitalization program may still want some support and guidance as they reintegrate back into their daily lives, which is most often recommended to ensure a successful recovery. An intensive outpatient program offers that transition of independence individuals need to return to their daily lives without risking a relapse by ending treatment too early.

We treat children, age 8-19, who are suffering from the following: Suicidal Thoughts, Self Harm/Cutting, Anxiety Disorder, Depression, ADHD, Autism, Gender Issues, Disruptive Disorder, Mild and Moderate Eating Disorders, Divorce/Family Problems, Personality Disorders, LGBTQ+ Related Issues.  We do individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and psychiatry in a comfortable upscale setting in Costa Mesa or via telehealh. We accept health insurance and we make treatment affordable. We have telehealth available for children anywhere in the state of California. We do not treat addiction, we do not accept addicts into the program. Your child will not be exposed to the influence of drug addicts during group therapy at OC Teen Center and California Teen Center.
