Millcreek of Pontotoc operates multiple group home locations across northern Mississippi for children and adolescents ages 12-20 who are struggling with mental health concerns or emotional disturbances. These group homes are separated by gender and provide a structured and supportive setting for young people who need professional supervision or a safe place to live due to challenging life circumstances. At our group homes, our main goal is to encourage independent living skills and support our students in their day-to-day lives. Each group home offers 24/7 supervision, trained staff members, therapies, and individualized treatment plans. Compared with an outpatient or therapeutic day program, the intensive programming found in our group homes offers a more immersive and comprehensive approach to meet the needs of our students. Inpatient treatment is a short-term program, typically lasting 10-14 days, that can help people achieve stability and learn to manage their symptoms. Patients receive round-the-clock monitoring from a team of professionals in a safe, secure environment. During programming, they can participate in a variety of evidence-based modalities depending on their unique needs. A person’s treatment plan may include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, life skills education, and 12-Step programming. The care we provide is outcomes-driven and customized for each patient based on the results of an initial evaluation we conduct at the time of admission.
