Addiction to drugs and alcohol is destructive not only to the person addicted, but also their family and friends. I specialize in treating addiction and the correlating feelings of worthlessness, depression, and anxiety. Healing from substance abuse and/or mood imbalance is done by strengthening an individual's mental, physical, and spiritual nature, stopping negative cycles, and re-creating an authentic person. To support the healing process I provide therapeutic services for both individuals and their families. Most therapy is usually accomplished in 2-4 months. I offer a consultation to determine if my skill-set matches your needs.
For families that are in a cycle of chaos, codependency, or enabling behavior, I help set healthy boundaries and break the routine. When substance abuse is destroying relationships, I will teach them about the disease of addiction, facilitate a substance abuse intervention, and/or provide referrals to additional professional services.
I have 20 years of professional experience helping people change; over 15 have been in private practice, psychiatric hospitals, and treatment centers. I am well connected with other community services if needed. I am a Certified ARISE Interventionist to facilitate a family intervention to those addicted to drugs and alcohol.
