Treatment Centers in 08055

“Eating Disorders Treatment Centers (EDTC) opened in 1999 under the direction of Michael Pertschuk, M.D., a nationally recognized expert in the field of eating disorders. Our treatment team is one of the most experienced in the region, and all members of our clinical staff hold doctorate or master's level degrees. We offer both a Partial Hospital Program (PHP) and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). Treatment is scheduled three days per week from late afternoon to early evening, allowing participants to continue with work and/or school while receiving intensive therapy. Program services include group therapy, individual and family therapy, one-on-one nutritional counseling, a staff-supported dinner, and medication management when appropriate. Our programs are small, providing individuals and families a high level of personalized care and attention. The opportunity to bond and form trusting relationships among peers and staff is one of the very special aspects of treatment at EDTC. For more information or to schedule a consultation, please call (856) 810-0100 or visit us on the web at www.EDTConline.com. Help starts here.

INPATIENT OR OUTPATIENT: WHAT'S RIGHT FOR ME?

* How much can you afford? Generally, 08055 outpatient treatment is cheaper than inpatient treatment because housing is not provided and fewer hours of treatment (and often fewer therapy alternatives) are offered.

* Are you able to control your behaviors? Inpatient treatment provides constant supervision to offset the temptation of drugs or eating disordered behavior in the early stages of treatment.

* Follow-up support network near 08055? If you do decide to attend inpatient treatment, look for a center that can offer you or direct you to another service where you will be provided with follow-up care after you leave in an effort to avoid relapse.

* Is your condition severe? Constant medical attention is given to those in inpatient care, which may be especially important for those with pain and eating disorders.
