“Recovery from drug abuse will begin as soon as you take the step to get help. You may not know it, but reading this page or talking to us may be the action that saves your life. If you're unsure of what comes next, keep reading. You or your loved one may be living in a place of denial. They either cannot or will not accept the reality that there is a problem. Before any treatment will work, you must own up to the fact that you need help. Choosing the recovery plan that's right for you will depend on a few things: * The drug you use * How long you've been using * Where you live * Personal tastes and desires No one treatment option will work for everyone. The best choices for recovery from alcoholism and drug abuse are those that consider your specific situation and will meet your needs. Our dual-diagnosis will help you to get at the underlying issues that perhaps brought you to addiction.

The program includes a weekly two-hour skills training class. Dr. Klein directs and leads the program, based on her training through Behavioral Tech, with Dr. Thomas Lynch, of Southampton University in the UK, who developed the adaptation and has researched it for over the past 20 years. “WAISMANN METHOD® treatment center has been considered the best rapid drug detox for over 16 years.. With unparalleled safety and proven protocol utilizing the most advanced medical techniques available. Together Michael Lowenstein M.D. and Clare Waismann, Registered Addiction Specialist (RAS) created treatment protocols based on a foundation of safety, success and respect. Admitting to private rooms of a full service accredited hospital allows us to treat higher risk patients like smokers, patients dealing with high-blood pressure, medical issues, obesity, IV users, those with higher level opiate intake and long term opiate users. For their health and safety, these patients should only go through medical rapid detoxification in a hospital where medical support is immediately available. From rapid drug detox under sedation, to medically assisted opioid detoxification and managed care at Domus Retreat, our doctors, therapists and staff work with patients to create personalized treatment and aftercare plans. This ensures a healthy and effective transition to life without opiates. WAISMANN METHOD® patients achieve an extraordinarily high success rate because the treatment doesn't take a cookie cutter approach to addressing opiate dependency. We always put treatment and care over judgment and punishment. For more information, please visit opiates.com.

Inpatient or Outpatient Treatment
INPATIENT TREATMENT: WHAT'S INVOLVED?
Residential Inpatient treatment in San Diego usually consists of 24 hour care at a live-in facility. Full treatment services, including medical and behavioral therapy are provided all at one location near San Diego.
Medical supervision is generally placed over each resident. In drug treatment centers, clients can detox safely. In eating disorder centers in San Diego, residential programs enable effective monitoring of the client's health during the treatment program.
Inpatient care offers a structured atmosphere and allows the client and providers to focus on physical and psychological healing.
OUTPATIENT TREATMENT: WHAT'S INVOLVED?
Outpatient treatment programs in San Diego or clinics provide flexibility to those who are unable to take time away from their regular lives, work or school. Programs typically meet at the clinic a couple of times every week for a few hours at a time.
Because clients are living away from the centers, outpatient facilities in San Diego are less able to focus on medical conditions and nutritional needs.
Certain programs provide a combination of the in/out approach: Inpatient for medical stabilization, partial hospitalization for moderate cases, intensive outpatient programs, and outpatient clinics for follow-up.
INPATIENT OR OUTPATIENT: WHAT'S RIGHT FOR ME?
* How much can you afford? Generally, San Diego outpatient treatment is cheaper than inpatient treatment because housing is not provided and fewer hours of treatment (and often fewer therapy alternatives) are offered.
* Are you able to control your behaviors? Inpatient treatment provides constant supervision to offset the temptation of drugs or eating disordered behavior in the early stages of treatment.
* Follow-up support network near San Diego? If you do decide to attend inpatient treatment, look for a center that can offer you or direct you to another service where you will be provided with follow-up care after you leave in an effort to avoid relapse.
* Is your condition severe? Constant medical attention is given to those in inpatient care, which may be especially important for those with pain and eating disorders.
