“Ohio Hospital for Psychiatry is centrally located in Ohio in the state capitol, Columbus, which provides a continuum of behavioral health services for adults and senior adults in a safe, secure environment. As OHP has medical physicians on staff, we are able to include treatment for medical conditions such as uncontrolled type II diabetes, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, hepatitis C, and chronic kidney disease, in each client's plan of care. Offering five separate, distinct units, in a ninety-bed free-standing behavioral health center, each unit is specifically designed to meet all the needs of our clients in an environment conducive to healing. OHP is an ever-improving care facility that aims to redefine the ways in which mental healthcare is delivered. Through our partnerships with physicians and other professionals, the usage of technology, and the extension of our services from the hospital to the home, Ohio Hospital for Psychiatry will continue to be a leader in creating distinct, effective mental illness management.
“While not a normal part of aging, many senior adults develop late-life depression. As the clinical presentation of late-life depression does vary tremendously from depression at other ages, this mental health disorder can lead to major impairments - including death - in older adults. This is why family and friends must remain vigilant and aware of the symptoms of late-life depression and encourage loved ones to seek treatment immediately. Due to the stresses of older adulthood, late-life depression is often more common than once thought. These stresses may include increased medical conditions, greater levels of disability, grief over the loss of friends and loved ones, and increasing fears over both health and financial security. Unfortunately, many elderly individuals dismiss even the most intense episodes of depression as a normal part of the aging process and do not report their own symptoms or receive proper treatment. With advances in the understanding of depression and its treatment, late-life depression is highly treatable and can lead to improved quality of life and reduction of the severe effects of untreated depression.

“The professional staff at Stones Throw Counseling are dedicated to treat the mental health issues of individuals with addictions. Many drug or alcohol outpatient clinics focus only on the addiction and take a "hands off" approach when it comes to emotional symptoms. At Stones Throw Counseling we treat the entire person. Persons who are addicted to drugs, alcohol, sex, or gambling are also persons with depression, anxiety, low self esteem, relationship problems, loss and grief issues. At Stones Throw Counseling we help individuals overcome addiction, and rebuild their lives.
“Today, more than ever women face challenges that affect their daily lives and the lives of others around them. For some women it's the challenge of balancing career and family responsibilities-parenting or caring for elderly parents. For others, it's the challenge of working through life transitions-death of a loved one, separation, or divorce. For some, it's dealing with the effects of sex abuse that occurred in their childhood, such as depression or anxiety. And for others, it is dealing with a life threatening eating disorder. As we have been for the past thirty years, we are here as a resource to all women, no matter what challenges they face. Our therapists understand that change can be painful and difficult to achieve. They know that it takes time and you may falter along the way, give up, then restart the process once again. They know this, but remain committed to helping you make the greatest strides possible in your treatment.

The program serves as a link in the continuum of care for individuals who need more intensive therapy than traditional outpatient care, but do not require admission to an inpatient facility. “I am no stranger to drug and alcohol addiction. After fully recovering over six years ago, I have dedicated my life to seeing others successfully complete the recovery process and start living their dreams. My life mission is to lead by example and pass the lessons I learned on to others as my sponsors passed on to me. I created a treatment center as the home base for this mission and our ultimate goal is to see that all addicts go through the entire program & become liberated from this disease. We vow to walk our clients through the ups and downs as friends, counselors, & confidants in the most compassionate but disciplined manner allowable. There are many reasons we stand out from other treatment options and the longer you look into our program the more they will start to reveal themselves. I am always available to a person in need so please dont hesitate to contact me directly. Andrey Rossin, CEO

Inpatient care offers a structured atmosphere and allows the client and providers to focus on physical and psychological healing.
