“The Wediko Summer Program believes that no child or family is beyond the reach of clinical and educational interventions. Wediko's mission is to provide the most effective services possible to children with serious emotional, behavioral, and academic problems. Wediko defines "serious problems" as issues which have persisted over time in multiple settings (e.g., home, school, peer group, and community). Families are essential partners in our work with each child, and family therapy is a critical component of the program.
“The Center for Effective Child Therapy at Judge Baker provides mental health assessments and focused short-term treatments for children and their families. We use only "evidence-based treatments," such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), that have been scientifically proven to work. At CECT, we continually monitor your child's progress in order to individualize treatment and maximize gains. We do this by both using proven assessment tools and listening closely to the children and families we work with, ensuring that everyone takes an active part in goal-setting and treatment. These careful assessments help us go far beyond a child's diagnosis; we can focus on what the child and family hope to change. One of our primary goals is to help children develop resiliency - an internal sense of stability that allows them to face the challenges of daily life. It's the sense of empowerment children have when they realize they have control over their feelings and behavior, and enhances their ability to grow and thrive.

“We offer didactic and process oriented groups designed to work with adolescent and young adults who are struggling with depression and anxiety, substance abuse and dependence, self-esteem and self-image difficulties, and difficulties modulating moods. Our group-based practice was founded upon the fundamental belief that adolescents work best in a positive, strength-based approach. We utilize CBT and DBT principles and our clinicians share 50 years of experience working directly with adolescents and young adults. Our office is conveniently located at 363 Massachusetts Avenue in Lexington, Massachusetts. All groups are co-lead and provide an 8-week curriculum treating no more than 8 clients in each group. Homework is provided to reinforce learning between sessions and all clients receive a one-to-one intake to evaluate that each client is appropriate for the group sessions.

“I am no stranger to drug and alcohol addiction. After fully recovering over six years ago, I have dedicated my life to seeing others successfully complete the recovery process and start living their dreams. I created a treatment center as the home base for this mission and our ultimate goal is to see that all addicts go through the entire program & become liberated from this disease. We vow to walk our clients through the ups and downs as friends, counselors, & confidants in the most compassionate but disciplined manner allowable. There are many reasons we stand out from other treatment options and the longer you look into our program the more they will start to reveal themselves. Inpatient or Outpatient Treatment
INPATIENT TREATMENT: WHAT'S INVOLVED?
Residential Inpatient treatment in Massachusetts (MA) usually consists of 24 hour care at a live-in facility. Full treatment services, including medical and behavioral therapy are provided all at one location near Massachusetts (MA).
Medical supervision is generally placed over each resident. In drug treatment centers, clients can detox safely. In eating disorder centers in Massachusetts (MA), residential programs enable effective monitoring of the client's health during the treatment program.
Inpatient care offers a structured atmosphere and allows the client and providers to focus on physical and psychological healing.
OUTPATIENT TREATMENT: WHAT'S INVOLVED?
Outpatient treatment programs in Massachusetts (MA) or clinics provide flexibility to those who are unable to take time away from their regular lives, work or school. Programs typically meet at the clinic a couple of times every week for a few hours at a time.
Because clients are living away from the centers, outpatient facilities in Massachusetts (MA) are less able to focus on medical conditions and nutritional needs.
Certain programs provide a combination of the in/out approach: Inpatient for medical stabilization, partial hospitalization for moderate cases, intensive outpatient programs, and outpatient clinics for follow-up.
