We offer the highest staff to client ratio and the greatest variety of evidence based clinical services in the nation. All teens receive comprehensive diagnostic testing before treatment begins. An accelerated learning classroom is on site, allowing youth to get current or even ahead in their studies while in treatment. We have a strong family component and offer free aftercare services to youth and their families for as long as they wish to utilize them.

White River Academy, Treatment Facility in Culver City
“White River Academy is an environment that is small and family directed. Assisting your adolescent in the "change of heart" process is what will assist in making the decisions you always hoped he would. Putting others before self shifts the focus of the teen to one of "what can I do to be productive" rather than "what can others do for me". WRA individualizes academics so that each students needs are met. A high level of commitment to academics has resulted in most students seeking a college education post WRA. Many students have gone straight from WRA into a University or trade school. And some have even qualified for scholarships. You as a parent believe that your teen has potential that they aren't currently living up to. We, too, believe your adolescent has the potential and we want to help them find it. Your struggling teen can and will make permanent changes within and for the better here at White River Academy. Newport Academy, Treatment Facility in Los Angeles
“At Newport Academy our goal is sustainable healing. We strongly believe that the self-destructive behaviors in which teens are participating are external manifestations, or symptoms, of underlying, internal issues. The maladaptive coping mechanisms for which we see teens enter treatment include self-harm, substance abuse, eating disorders, conduct disorders and other forms of self-destructive behaviors. We see the most positive, long-term results by focusing on healing the underlying issues that are causing teens to act out- primarily various levels of trauma, abandonment, anxiety, depression, abuse, neglect, and other family systems issues. Our environment provides the safety and security, and above all, unconditional love, that teens and their families need in order to heal. By incorporating multiple modalities of psychological and experiential therapies, and a dedication to treating the entire family, we offer the highest quality teen treatment program.

Rapid Opiate Detox Waismann Method, Treatment Facility in Beverly Hills
“WAISMANN METHOD® has utilized rapid detox for 15 years on thousands of patients. With an unparalleled safety and proven protocol for opiate dependency that utilizes the most advanced medical techniques available. Together Michael H. Lowenstein M.D. and Clare Waismann, Registered Addiction Specialist (RAS) created treatment protocols based on a foundation of safety, success and respect. Operating in private rooms of a full service accredited hospital allows us to treat higher risk patients like smokers, patients dealing with high-blood pressure, medical issues, obesity, IV users, those with higher level opiate intake and long term opiate users. For their health and safety, these patients should only go through medical detoxification in a hospital where all medical support is immediately available. From rapid opiate detox under sedation, to medically assisted opioid detoxification and managed care at Domus Retreat, our doctors, therapists and staff work with patients to create personalized treatment and aftercare plans. This ensures a healthy and effective transition to life without opiates. WAISMANN METHOD® patients achieve an extraordinarily high success rate because the treatment doesn't take a cookie cutter approach to addressing opiate dependency. We always put treatment and care over judgment and punishment. For more information, please visit opiates.com.

Teen Residential Treatment Centers
These treatment centers in Los Angeles County may provide teen residential facilities for teens and tweens. Teen residential programs may have fixed start dates, or allow for flexible entry of new clients to the Los Angeles County teen residential program.

Inpatient or Outpatient Treatment

INPATIENT TREATMENT: WHAT'S INVOLVED?

Residential Inpatient treatment in Los Angeles County usually consists of 24 hour care at a live-in facility. Full treatment services, including medical and behavioral therapy are provided all at one location near Los Angeles County.

Medical supervision is generally placed over each resident. In drug treatment centers, clients can detox safely. In eating disorder centers in Los Angeles County, residential programs enable effective monitoring of the client's health during the treatment program.

Inpatient care offers a structured atmosphere and allows the client and providers to focus on physical and psychological healing.

OUTPATIENT TREATMENT: WHAT'S INVOLVED?

Outpatient treatment programs in Los Angeles County or clinics provide flexibility to those who are unable to take time away from their regular lives, work or school. Programs typically meet at the clinic a couple of times every week for a few hours at a time.

Because clients are living away from the centers, outpatient facilities in Los Angeles County are less able to focus on medical conditions and nutritional needs.

Certain programs provide a combination of the in/out approach: Inpatient for medical stabilization, partial hospitalization for moderate cases, intensive outpatient programs, and outpatient clinics for follow-up.
