“The Addiction Recovery Center specializes in the treatment of Sexually Compulsive behaviors in an outpatient setting. The ARC is the exclusive provider of the LifeSTAR Bay Area program. We offer a dual track program for sex addicts and their partners. The ARC's program is a 4 Phase program using the LifeSTAR materials in an outpatient group setting. Both the addict and the partner receive help with the unique challenges of this disease. The initial Phase 1 seminar is a series of 6 Saturday mornings to learn about this difficult behavior, and what can be done to change your life...and those around you! Phase 2 offers small weekly groups with a staff facilitator, with workbooks, outside commitment to a 12-Step program and other tools to help you. Phase 3 continues the group work, but now the focus is on childhood trauma which is where all addiction begins. The Partners also have small group meetings with the emphasis given to healing from the relational trauma and help to decide what to do going forward. Don't wait to get help! Give us a call - we will make sure that you are given the resources you need right away.

“Rehabs and doctors across America are failing in the treatment of addiction disorder. (Read CASAcolumbia's results from a national five year study to understand why: see http://www.casacolumbia.org/article "Closing the Gap Between Science & Practice." The research explains why our methods are failing...and they clearly outline what science has demonstrated WORKS in the treatment of Addiction Disorder. The answer is not rocket science--it is health science. For generations people have been going to rehabs (often again and again,) to no avail. The first week the patients sit in a room while the Counselors (recovering addicts and alcoholics) tell them that addiction is a disease. What follows is a lot of talk about the 12-steps...never again addressing or treating the disease of addiction! ADDICTION IS A DISEASE AND TO EFFECTIVELY TREAT IT YOU MUST TREAT THE BODY AND THE MIND. Our program does just that. Everyone is treated for 6-months following the protocols detailed by scientific evidence: you'll have an MD, acupuncturist, FAR-infrared therapy, psychopharmacology, nutritional supplements, gym membership, comprehensive psych therapies by professionals...and so much more--combined, holistic, and comprehensive care proven to work! We've got your back.

“White River Academy is an environment that is small and family directed. Assisting your adolescent in the "change of heart" process is what will assist in making the decisions you always hoped he would. Putting others before self shifts the focus of the teen to one of "what can I do to be productive" rather than "what can others do for me". WRA individualizes academics so that each students needs are met. A high level of commitment to academics has resulted in most students seeking a college education post WRA. Many students have gone straight from WRA into a University or trade school. And some have even qualified for scholarships. You as a parent believe that your teen has potential that they aren't currently living up to. We, too, believe your adolescent has the potential and we want to help them find it. Your struggling teen can and will make permanent changes within and for the better here at White River Academy. Inpatient or Outpatient Treatment
INPATIENT TREATMENT: WHAT'S INVOLVED?
Residential Inpatient treatment in San Jose usually consists of 24 hour care at a live-in facility. Full treatment services, including medical and behavioral therapy are provided all at one location near San Jose.
Medical supervision is generally placed over each resident. In drug treatment centers, clients can detox safely. In eating disorder centers in San Jose, residential programs enable effective monitoring of the client's health during the treatment program.
Inpatient care offers a structured atmosphere and allows the client and providers to focus on physical and psychological healing.
OUTPATIENT TREATMENT: WHAT'S INVOLVED?
Outpatient treatment programs in San Jose or clinics provide flexibility to those who are unable to take time away from their regular lives, work or school. Programs typically meet at the clinic a couple of times every week for a few hours at a time.
Because clients are living away from the centers, outpatient facilities in San Jose are less able to focus on medical conditions and nutritional needs.
Certain programs provide a combination of the in/out approach: Inpatient for medical stabilization, partial hospitalization for moderate cases, intensive outpatient programs, and outpatient clinics for follow-up.
