Desert Solace is an addiction recovery program located in St. George, Utah, designed to help those struggling with pornography addiction or other sexual addictions. But honestly, it’s so much more than therapy. At Desert Solace, we show people how to live a healthy, balanced life that leads naturally to sobriety from addiction. Desert Solace started out as an inpatient program for those dealing with compulsive sexual behaviors, but we are expanding into outpatient recovery to offer more services to more people in the St. George, Utah area. Initially, these services will consist of individual and group therapy, betrayal trauma therapy, general addiction education and equine assisted therapy, but eventually we plan on offering more focused therapy services like women’s retreats, couples retreats, 3 and 5 day intensive recovery programs and experiential training.

Our program and therapists treat maternal all perinatal mood and anxiety disorders related to childbirth. We focus on helping postpartum and pregnant mothers feel better mentally through different levels of therapy catered to mom's needs. The program addresses postpartum depression, anxiety, OCD, scary thoughts you might be afraid to share, intrusive thoughts, feeling irritable, worthless, coping, and thoughts of harming yourself or feeling like family is better off without you. We want all mothers to know that what your feeling is common but not normal and it can be treatable. All mothers will have direct access to our qualified staff of therapists and medical personnel for medication management while attending our unique program. Matt is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been working in the area of counseling/treatment since 1995. He possesses a Bachelors degree in Special Education from BYU and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Utah. Matt is the co-founder of Therapy Associates and the YPA Center. He has designed curriculums used in substance abuse treatment, sexual offenses treatment and sexual addiction treatment. He is the author of the workbook Breaking Free: A Therapeutic Workbook for Youth Struggling with Pornography Addiction.

At Youth Care Treatment Center in Draper, Utah, we provide clinically excellent residential treatment for adolescents ages 11-18 who are suffering from mental health conditions and substance use concerns. We serve young people who have anxiety, depression, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), reactive attachment disorder (RAD), oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Students can enter this level of care directly, and each person receives a customized treatment plan to guide their time with us. We understand the unique developmental needs of children and teens, and our age-appropriate programming is designed to help adolescents build a strong foundation for healing. Each student’s length of stay in our residential program depends on their response to treatment, cooperation, and overall goals. However, most students remain in our residential program for four to five months.
