Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP) are therapy sessions for personal growth and treatment for those with mental disorders. Sessions are available to adults and adolescents and can be in an individual or group therapy setting. The Therapy Team consists of a Mental Health Therapist (certified with EAGALA- Equine Assisted Growth And Learning Association), the Equine Specialist (certified with PATH), and at least one horse. Clients interact with the horses in order to promote growth and learning.

Downtown Portland Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) offers outpatient treatment for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with addictions to opioids. Our CTC is located in Portland, Oregon, and specializes in providing medication-assisted treatment (MAT), which combines the use of prescription medication with counseling. Many methadone clinics only have a single medication option, but we offer a comprehensive range of medications. These include buprenorphine, Vivitrol, and Suboxone, in addition to methadone. When someone abruptly stops opioid use, they may experience distressing symptoms, such as anxiety, muscle aches, nausea, and intense cravings. The medications used in MAT can alleviate these symptoms and help people remain focused on their recovery. In addition to medication, we also provide individual and group counseling sessions, which are led by qualified professionals who can assist you as you work toward recovery from an opioid addiction.

We have made the difficult decision to end our outdoor program operations by April 30th, 2024, and shift our energy toward more accessible options such as residential treatment. Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is a safe and effective way to treat opioid addiction and has proved to decrease the risk for relapse. At Salem Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), we offer MAT services for adults age 18 and older in a warm, welcoming environment. MAT addresses the mental and physical aspects of opioid addiction through the combined use of prescription medication and counseling services. Medication can keep you comfortable by lessening the symptoms of withdrawal. Methadone clinics typically only offer one type of medication; however, we offer several options, including naltrexone, methadone, Suboxone, and buprenorphine. Our clinicians will determine which medication and dosage to prescribe for you based on your specific needs and the results of an initial assessment you complete prior to beginning treatment.

Oregon Trail Recovery is a long-term transitional living program. We provide PHP and IOP services which are paired with our sober living homes for those seeking recovery from chemical dependency. We serve men and women ages 18 and up for up to 3 months, and ask for a minimum of a three month verbal commitment. We use a variety of evidenced-based modalities of group and individual therapy, as well as adventure excursions.
