At FCFR, we provide evidence-based treatment for patients with psychiatric disorders with or without substance use disorder. Located in heart of the beautiful Appalachian Mountains, Next Step Recovery provides an outpatient addiction treatment center known as PHP & IOP to men in recovery from substance use disorders. Next Step Recovery serves men between 18 and 40 years old who are striving for Recovery, have completed in-patient treatment such as residential treatment or medical detox, have 30 days clean and sober, or for men whose outpatient treatment services were not effective. In another program offering, Next Step Recovery is integrated with NSR of Asheville's Transitional Living Program to provide a unique Extended Care Recovery Treatment model. We work and contract with a variety of local and state agencies who conduct compliance and outcome studies for our clinical services. Our adolescent partial hospitalization program (PHP) and intensive outpatient program (IOP) are designed to be less restrictive, yet intensive treatment services offered to teens (ages 13-18) experiencing significant and serious mental and/or emotional issues. Usually our patients are struggling with suicidal ideation, past suicide attempts, school refusal, social anxiety, intense anxiety and depression symptoms, ADHD, and other co-occurring mental health disorders that inhibit them from being able to engage effectively in multiple areas of their lives. We are the sole comprehensive treatment program for eating disorders in southeastern North Carolina, with both outpatient and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) services. Because expert level care is important to us, we employ the only Certified Eating Disorders Specialists in the region to address all clinical and subclinical eating and body image issues. In addition, we employ the region's only Certified Eating Disorders Registered Dietitian. Treatment can include specialized assessments; individual, family, and group counseling, medication management, nutritional counseling, meal support, and collaboration with higher levels of care. We serve clients 18 years old and up. Old Vineyard Behavioral Health Services, is a private psychiatric hospital located on a beautiful campus in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for referrals and no cost confidential mental health assessments. Old Vineyard specializes in inpatient treatment for adolescents (ages 12-17) and adults. Adult specialty inpatient programs include Dual Diagnosis (SUD), Trauma Recovery, Mood Disorders and Seniors. Outpatient adult programs include Partial Hospitalization (day) and Intensive Outpatient and are available for mental health and those with dual substance use disorder. In March of 2022 we opened an evening virtual Intensive Outpatient program for youth ages 12-17. IOP Services provides intensive group therapy to adults. We are the an independent, clinician owned mental health IOP in North Carolina. We do not provide care to individuals whose primary current problem is a substance abuse disorder. There are many options for their care. IOP provides intensive therapy 3 hours per day, 3 days a week. Group therapy is the foundation of IOP. Group has been well established as an effective treatment approach for 80 years. The interpersonal experience of group is supplemented and enriched with instructional material, psychiatric education and a variety of evidenced based approaches. Most clients continue their regular individual therapy schedule while in IOP. Enrollment is not determined by a diagnosis but rather by how problems are interfering in your life.
