Stetson School is a COA accredited, Residential and Education Treatment program, which is fully licensed by the Massachusetts Departments of Early Education and Care, and Elementary and Secondary Education. We serve young men, ages 9-22, who have problematic behaviors, sexually reactive behaviors, complex developmental difficulties, chronic mental illness and other behavioral issues. Stetson supports young men who have suffered from severe trauma, have histories of physical, emotional and/or sexual abuse and who may have had disrupted living arrangements or placements. We specialize in flexible, family-driven treatment, safety, stabilization and assessment. We develop an alliance with the family and work to strengthen those supports to enable a safe return to the community. Our group-based practice was founded upon the fundamental belief that adolescents and family systems work best in a positive, strength-based approach. We utilize CBT and DBT principles and our clinicians share 50+ years of experience working directly with adolescents and parents. All groups are virtual and co-lead, providing group-specific curriculum treating no more than 10 clients in each group. Homework is provided to reinforce learning between sessions and all clients receive a one-to-one intake to evaluate that each client is appropriate for the group sessions

At Lake Avenue Recovery, we guide people down a comprehensive Addiction Recovery Path that includes a Day Treatment Program, Intensive Outpatient Program, Evening Treatment Program and an Outpatient Program. Our medical and clinical directors guide individuals through an assessment to determine which drug and alcohol treatment fits best. The assessment is predicated on the American Society of Addiction Medicine’s placement criteria, the most widely used and comprehensive set of guidelines for placement, continued stay and transfer/discharge of patients with addiction and co-occurring conditions. ASAM’s criteria are required in over 30 states. ASAM’s criteria uses six dimensions to create a holistic, biopsychosocial assessment of an individual to be used for planning and treatment across all levels of care.

The facility is about 1.5 hours from Boston and offers adult inpatient treatment for alcohol, substance abuse, and mental health disorders. Patients have access to around-the-clock care, group and family therapy, amenities, recreational activities, and more. The property includes a 31,000-square-foot main administrative and clinical building, and six residential buildings of 12 bedrooms each, along with other smaller buildings and outdoor recreational space. Nearby attractions include the Baldwinville Village Historic District, Otter River State Forest Campgrounds and beautiful ponds and lakes intertwined within the town.
