The Anxiety Treatment Center is the first & only treatment program in California and the U.S. that offers Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient Treatment, a Hoarding Disorder Program, Phobia Track, and Equine Assisted Activity Program (EAA) specializing in OCD and anxiety disorders. This includes Generalized Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Panic Disorder, Trichotillomania, and Excoriation Disorder, to name a few.. This facility provides the frontline treatment protocols for these conditions which includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). This integrative approach is the only scientifically proven treatment modality shown to produce chemical changes in the brain leading to decreased anxiety and improved functioning. About Anxiety: Anxiety is the result of fear. When we are afraid, our body responds by producing physiological symptoms such as heart palpitations, sweating, trembling or shaking, shortness of breath, dizziness, and chest pain. These symptoms tend to produce a "fight or flight response" causing us to take action so twe can be "safe." Typically ones instinct is to go into a "flight" response, rather than stay and "fight" what is scaring us. Hence, we often times see individuals whose lives have become significantly limited due to avoidance of the situations that are producing the anxiety.

At Evolve Lafayette, we believe treatment works best when it is individually tailored. Our clinical staff conducts a comprehensive evaluation of each teen pre- and post-admission in order to develop a customized, highly detailed treatment plan that is constantly updated based on treatment progress. Our robust clinical program includes individual and family therapy at least 5 times a week; weekly psychiatry; daily groups (on DBT Skills Training, Anger Management, Relapse Prevention, Life Skills, Healthy Relationships, and Seeking Safety); and daily academic support. Families from out-of-state participate in family therapy remotely. Teens also participate in experiential therapies (e.g. equine, music, art, fitness, yoga, and more) as well as SMART Recovery programs for those struggling with dual diagnoses.

Located in Rose Garden, San Jose, Evolve’s partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs treat teens and children ages 12-17 with mental health, substance use, dual diagnosis, and/or behavioral issues. Our licensed, specialized staff utilize evidence-based treatments such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), daily group sessions and psychoeducation, individual and family therapy, multifamily groups, and psychiatry. We also integrate therapeutic modalities for addiction recovery, such as Relapse Prevention, DBT for Substance Abuse, 12-Step programs, and SMART Recovery. Many of our adolescents struggle with emotion dysregulation. They may display high-risk, self-harming or suicidal behaviors. DBT is research-proven to help reduce these issues. Through DBT, we teach our clients the skills needed for emotion regulation, distress tolerance, improved impulse control, and effective communication. Teens and children also receive daily academic support and participate in experiential therapies such as music, art, mindfulness, yoga, and psychodrama.
