ANR approaches opioid dependency based on the pathophysiology and neuropharmacology vis-à-vis normal brain function and examines the interaction and relationship that would normally exist prior to the neuroadaptation and alteration that has now ensued from nervous system exposure to opioids. Individuals who develop an opioid dependency through the use of exogenous opioids suppress natural endorphin production while simultaneously inducing the nervous system to increase the number of active endorphin/opioid receptors. With increasing use and abuse, this develops into a vicious self-perpetuating cycle. As more and more receptors are induced, the individual requires greater and greater amounts of opioids/narcotics to quench their neuro-biochemical demand.

Sabal Palms Recovery Center in Brooksville, Florida, is a leading provider of residential addiction treatment services for adults age 18 and older. Our residential program is designed for those who are struggling with addictions to alcohol, prescription painkillers, heroin, stimulants, benzodiazepines, and other substances. Clients live in dorm-style housing on our 10-acre campus as they participate in evidence-based therapies and receive services for several hours each day. Clients can work with our medical and behavioral health professionals who specialize in addiction treatment. If clients arrive at our treatment center with drugs or alcohol in their systems, they can begin addiction treatment by receiving detox services and then transition to our residential programming. Our residential addiction treatment program lasts around 28 days, but each person’s length of stay can vary depending on their progress and individual needs.

HCC offers partial hospitalization (day/night treatment), intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and outpatient services to treat substance use disorders. We also provide intensive outpatient programs (IOP) and outpatient care for those diagnosed with primary mental health disorders. As with other serious illnesses, patients often start at a high-intensity level of care (such as detox or residential treatment) and move to lower, more flexible levels of care as they progress to wellness. Each patient has different needs on the path to recovery, so treatment varies from person to person. Like other health conditions, there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to treating substance use or mental health disorders. We are a small and intimate women's treatment facility in Tampa, Florida, for women affected by addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. Our approach to treatment at is evidence-based and abstinence-focused with a balance of experiential therapies for whole-patient wellness, all catered to the needs of each individual. The intimate setting and female-specific care fosters bonding among patients to build an empowered community that promotes healing in a supportive and compassionate environment. There is also a strong focus on healing the patient's family system to set a solid foundation for lifelong recovery.

We designed our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for working individuals and retirees. Many have daily obligations to fulfill work, summer activities, golf, beach... As a result, our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) treatment is provided every weeknight from 6 pm to 9 pm and on Sundays from 10 am to 1 pm. Our IOP is a 12-week evidence-based program for Substance Abuse Treatment and the Co-occurring Mental Health conditions that are often the cause. We provide a minimum of ten hours per week of Group and Individual) therapy as well as random drug and alcohol testing. IOP can be an excellent treatment program for individuals living in a stable supportive environment and is designed for clients who need Structure and Accountability while reintegrating themselves back into their new Sober Life. We also offer NeuroFeedback as an adjunct treatment modality for mental health, substance use disorder, and cognitive health.
