At Timberline Knolls, we recognize that treatment is only the first step of a person’s recovery journey. For this reason, we are proud to offer a unique alumnae program that is designed to provide our clients and residents with ongoing support and encouragement as they transition back to their daily lives. As an alumnae program participant, you can build a strong social network with others who understand the obstacles of living in recovery. You’ll have the opportunity to learn from and support one another while overcoming challenges and celebrating milestones together. In addition to social benefits, our alumnae program offers a safe space where you can practice crucial recovery skills, like how to manage stress, cope with triggers, and maintain healthy lifestyle habits. We strive to ensure that every woman or girl who completes our programming has access to the resources they need to be successful long after their treatment ends. To break down the barriers to program participation, we provide free and virtual alumnae services. What To Expect
Our alumnae program is led by a compassionate coordinator who acts as a liaison between our robust alumnae community and treatment center, ensuring that those who need additional support know about the resources available to them. As someone who is also navigating life in recovery, our alumnae coordinator can provide genuine feedback about the value of our alumni support services and how to stay involved. The program offers a variety of meetings and events throughout the year, including an annual alumnae retreat, guest speaking opportunities, alumnae nights, virtual workshops, and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills groups. Support groups are held multiple times each week and are available for family members of alumnae as well. Our vibrant alumnae program reaches women and girls across the country. To help facilitate connections and communication, we provide a private Facebook page as an additional touchpoint. Our Treatment Center
Timberline Knolls offers a welcoming environment for women and girls age 12 and older who are struggling with eating disorders, substance use disorders, mood disorders, the effects of trauma, and other mental health concerns. On a private and serene 43-acre campus located outside of Chicago in Lemont, Illinois, our residents can participate in a transformative therapeutic experience to help them learn to manage symptoms and regain control of their lives. Our campus is a place of healing where women and girls who are suffering can escape the chaos of their daily lives and focus on building a foundation for sustained wellness. We employ a team of highly skilled professionals who work together to provide holistic treatment that supports emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual wellness.
