The Psychological Services Clinic at University of Houston-Clear Lake is a training clinic for graduate programs in clinical psychology, family therapy, and school psychology. The clinic serves the community by providing sliding-scale mental health services to individuals (adults, teens, and children), families, and couples. We treat a variety of disorders, with expertise in depression, anxiety, and behavior problems for children and adults. Our student clinicians are supervised by doctoral-level therapists to provide evidence-supported treatments. These services fall under the category of Intensive Outpatient or IOP. Our IOP services are tailored for individuals who haven’t achieved the desired outcomes from meeting with a therapist once or twice a week. Our clinicians offer a compassionate therapeutic environment, where they work with you one-on-one, in 3-hour blocks, 3 to 5 days a week to collaboratively address your specific treatment needs. These sessions can be conducted either in-person or virtually. IOP proves particularly valuable for those transitioning from residential or inpatient treatment, individuals taking school or work leave, or those in need of more substantial support than what weekly outpatient therapy provides.

Petoskey Center provides patients with the opportunity to experience intensive treatment without the need for inpatient or residential psychiatric hospitalization. They can continue meeting their responsibilities (as much as possible) in their communities while diving more deeply into treatment. Petoskey Center's intensive outpatient program (IOP) gives clients a safe place to: Explore the reasons behind their psychological struggles; learn and practice new skills for coping, managing, and preventing emotional crises; identify a path forward in terms of education, career, family, lifestyle; and ​practice implementing real change both in and outside the therapy environment. Heights Treatment offers several levels of care to fit the needs of each individual in their recovery journey. Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is the most intensive level of treatment with programming 5 days per week, approximately 6 hours per day. This outpatient option allows clients to benefit from a high level of clinical care and support with the luxury of living in their own home or sober living environment. Clients who seek a slightly less intensive level of care may choose our Intensive Oupatient Program (IOP), which is offered 3-5 days per week, for 3 hours per day. Just as in PHP, clients receive group therapy each day they attend treatment, with topics that range from DBT skills, healthy relationships, recovery skills, emotional, spiritual, and relational sobriety, and grief and loss. The least intense level of care offered at Heights Treatment is our Outpatient Program (OP). This program is designed for the client who is in need of additional support while they return to full-time work and/or daily living. Our Outpatient Program is then a great option for continuing care after the completion of IOP or PHP.
