Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) works by focusing magnetic impulses to non-invasively stimulate the brain in the pre-frontal cortex. This is the area of the brain that is most commonly associated with mood regulation and certain disorders, like major depressive disorder and uses no medications. TMS may be used to augment or reduce medications and in some cases, patients may achieve remission. An Outpatient Procedure that you can drive yourself to as there is no sedation used, so you can scheduled base on your day. It is a time commitment that requires a patient to receive continuous treatments for 5-6 weeks and the procedure only takes 37-45 minutes for 24 to 30 treatments. Patients typically begin to notice results near the latter part of the 4th week through end of treatment. TMS THERAPY IS AN FDA APPROVED PROCEDURE
We have several FDA Approved device available for TMS Therapy and indicated for major depressive disorder (mdd). TMS Health and Wellness uses this machine.
