About Our Facility

Since 1973 Excelsior Youth Center has provided behavioral healthcare for adolescent girls. Situated on a 33-acre campus overlooking the Rocky Mountains in the Denver-Metro Area, Excelsior provides a continuum of care which includes Residential Treatment and Community Based Services.

Program Description

Treatment is facilitated by experienced staff including: psychiatrists, psychologists, master's level psychotherapists, nurses and direct care staff. Excelsior's facility is staff-secure and staff are trained to work effectively with girls that are struggling with self-harm and behaviors that are considered dangerous.

For California Residents

Excelsior is approved by the CA Dept. of Education as a Non-public School and credentialed by the CA Dept of Social Services. Excelsior facilitates Educationally Related Mental Health Services and works with Adoption Assistance Placements. Excelsior's residential program meets all criteria for CA RCL-14 Group Homes.
