As Dr. Maya Angelou says, "when you know better, you do better." I believe we are all doing the best we can each and every day. When your best doesn't seem to be working anymore, counseling can help you develop new skills and insights so that you can do better. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, my goal is to help you uncover your potential and live your best life. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve these challenges.
I specialize in treating trauma, anxiety and depression utilizing a varity of therapy approaches. I work with children, teens and adults. I am an experienced EMDR therapist. EMDR can help resolve past trauma, improve work or athletic performance & decrease urges to engage in destructive behaviors (e.g. overeating, cutting, substance use).
As an experienced licensed counselor, I am a contracted provider with many health plans. If you have insurance benefits, counseling with me can be very affordable. The typical cost of counseling with insurance is just your office visit co-pay, which is often as little as $20 per session.
