Ms. Carla Martinson

Marriage & Family Therapist , MA , LMFT , LADC

(651) 927-8152
I believe that we all have the capability to survive through difficult times and unwanted emotions. I also believe that we are all worthwhile and valuable individuals that have something valuable to offer others. However, sometimes the world and people around us can seem discouraging and shame-based. One of my goals as a therapist is to model self-worth and provide my clients with constant encouragement until they are able to see themselves as a worthwhile person that is capable of also encouraging others.
I love to work with individuals who struggle with emotion regulation and may have been labeled with the following disorders: personality disorders, substance abuse, bi-polar, PTSD, generalized anxiety, panic disorder, OCD, and major depression, that would benefit from dialectical behavior therapy.
I also specialize in addictions as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I also see addictions as yet another attempted solution an individual has found to help them cope with the unwanted emotions that life brings. I love working with teens and school aged children, including their families and parents.
