Adult Partial Hospitalization Program
Adults age 18 and older who are in need of structured treatment for behavioral health concerns can participate in the partial hospitalization program (PHP) offered at Delta Specialty Hospital. In this program, patients attend treatment five hours a day, five days a week for an average of four weeks. Each person’s individual needs influence their treatment plan as well as their length of stay, so actual program duration may vary. Daily programming depends on a person’s customized care plan, which can include evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, 12-Step programming, and life skills education. While someone can step down to this program from a higher level of care, they may also enter our PHP directly. We want to help ensure that our patients can fully focus on treatment without distractions or barriers to care. For this reason, we provide breakfast and lunch in our PHP as well as transportation to our treatment center as needed. Adult Intensive Outpatient Program
Delta Specialty Hospital provides an intensive outpatient program (IOP) for those who can benefit from a lower level of care. In our IOP, we help adults age 18 and older who are battling mental health concerns and addictions learn to manage symptoms that have disrupted their ability to function in their daily lives. Patients in our IOP attend programming three hours a day, three days a week for up to 20 sessions. During this time, they can participate in process groups that cover topics like behavior modification, life skills, communication skills, emotional wellness, trauma, and 12-Step programming. Groups can be an invaluable form of therapy because they give patients an opportunity to connect with peers who understand what they’re going through. Each group session is led by a licensed master social worker who provides guidance and teaches patients strategies for coping that can be immediately applied in real-life settings outside of treatment.
