“At BVCNC we are dedicated to meeting the needs of each person's unique circumstances. We meet our clients where they are and honor their innate capacity to heal and grow. The methods we employ have been shown to be effective through both research studies and our own experience. Psychotherapy is not a "one size fits all" endeavor. Therefore, we constantly work to expand our knowledge base by regularly attending conferences featuring internationally recognized experts in the treatment of trauma, PTSD, addictions and other challenges which interfere with a person's quality of life. Recently, we have added Neurofeedback to our repertoire after reviewing the scientific literature and determining that it offers an amazing opportunity to treat a wide array of problems while creating little if any distress to the client.

“VFMC was one of the first in our field to make available treatment for those individuals sufferring with chronic pain and medication dependency. This significant healthcare problem can be the causal factor for a number of co-existing conditions, including depression and anxiety. Quality of life often declines, leaving individuals and their families feeling hopeless and helpless. Many suffer from diminished activity, isolation, sleep deprivation and loss of appetite. Still others live in constant fear of becoming addicted to their pain medication. Our goal is to assist and educate individuals so they can regain a healthy and productive lifestyle.
“Our mission is to provide each person that enters our program with the highest level of personalized treatment. We will consistently show love and compassion while using direct, respectful, honest communication. We will provide a safe and serene atmosphere that is conducive to building trust and hope. We will convey the message, "WE BELIEVE" that recovery is possible for everyone!
“The recovery process begins when an individual demonstrates the willingness to accept the help available, one day at a time. Once this step has been taken, the power of the group, discussion of shared experience, appropriate education about the disease and the recovery process become invaluable. The building of therapeutic relationships with the counselors, support staff and peers is of equal importance. Reconnecting spiritually often starts as the self- discipline grows and connections are made with people. We provide a nurturing, structured environment, rooted in spiritual growth and positive exploration for individuals who wish to restore their lives. Through knowledge, guidance and an unwavering commitment to patient recovery, we help individuals towards a recovery that perhaps was once thought to be beyond reach. To supply the education and treatment necessary to allow one to begin a substance-free life is OUR MISSION. To encourage change with great hope, vigor and genuine enthusiasm is OUR PROMISE.

Inpatient or Outpatient Treatment
INPATIENT TREATMENT: WHAT'S INVOLVED?
Residential Inpatient treatment in Delaware County usually consists of 24 hour care at a live-in facility. Full treatment services, including medical and behavioral therapy are provided all at one location near Delaware County.
Medical supervision is generally placed over each resident. In drug treatment centers, clients can detox safely. In eating disorder centers in Delaware County, residential programs enable effective monitoring of the client's health during the treatment program.
Inpatient care offers a structured atmosphere and allows the client and providers to focus on physical and psychological healing.
OUTPATIENT TREATMENT: WHAT'S INVOLVED?
Outpatient treatment programs in Delaware County or clinics provide flexibility to those who are unable to take time away from their regular lives, work or school. Programs typically meet at the clinic a couple of times every week for a few hours at a time.
Because clients are living away from the centers, outpatient facilities in Delaware County are less able to focus on medical conditions and nutritional needs.
Certain programs provide a combination of the in/out approach: Inpatient for medical stabilization, partial hospitalization for moderate cases, intensive outpatient programs, and outpatient clinics for follow-up.
INPATIENT OR OUTPATIENT: WHAT'S RIGHT FOR ME?
* How much can you afford? Generally, Delaware County outpatient treatment is cheaper than inpatient treatment because housing is not provided and fewer hours of treatment (and often fewer therapy alternatives) are offered.
* Are you able to control your behaviors? Inpatient treatment provides constant supervision to offset the temptation of drugs or eating disordered behavior in the early stages of treatment.
* Follow-up support network near Delaware County? If you do decide to attend inpatient treatment, look for a center that can offer you or direct you to another service where you will be provided with follow-up care after you leave in an effort to avoid relapse.
* Is your condition severe? Constant medical attention is given to those in inpatient care, which may be especially important for those with pain and eating disorders.
